Oggy and the Cockroaches: The Movie is only a feature length movie in the sense that you can go into a cinema and spend eighty-five minutes seeing it. The film is basically just three and a half new segments of the popular cartoon, each set in a different era of history. There’s a pretty clever framework holding them together, but it can’t really be considered a fluid narrative. True to its roots, this film is more committed to visual gags, slapstick, and self-contained stories that all pretty much have the same structure.
